ABOUT TARA
BELIEF #1
Life is too short to do something that doesn't bring you joy.
BELIEF #2
You can build life-long strength and it doesn't have to be complicated.
BELIEF #3
You are in control of your thoughts, actions, and destiny. And it's not selfish to focus on you.
I'M TARA
I'm a strength and functional fitness coach, and I built The Tara Method for the woman I used to coach over and over again: smart, capable, motivated — and burned by every program she'd tried.
You know her. Maybe you are her.
She'd done the bootcamps. The "shred" programs. The reformer pilates phase. The peloton phase. The running phase that ended in shin splints. By the time she found me, she wasn't lazy or undisciplined, she was exhausted from trying, and quietly convinced her body was the problem.
It wasn't. The programming was.
Three years into coaching — across one-on-one clients, group fitness, pilates, and nutrition — I kept seeing the same gap. The fitness industry has plenty of intensity and almost no intention. Plenty of "before and afters" and almost no foundations. Plenty of programs for the woman who's already strong, and almost nothing for the one who's starting, restarting, or quietly opting out.
So I built one.
THE TARA METHOD
is the system I wish every woman had access to. It starts with the basics that everyone skips — breath, core, control — and progresses you into real strength training, structured the way it should have been all along.
It has three doors: Foundation: Beginner for women new to strength training, Foundation: Rebuild for women returning after a break, and Foundation: Lifted for women already consistent and ready for the next chapter. Same method. Different entry points.
My credentials:
- NASM Certified Personal Trainer
- NASM Certified Nutrition Coach
- AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor
- Reformed Mat Pilates Certified
The Pilates and group fitness background is part of what makes my method different... I don't just write strength programs. I teach you to move, breathe, and connect to your body before we ever load it up. That's the part most coaches skip.
The personal: I live in St. George, Utah with my husband, our four daughters, and our dog Piper. When I'm not coaching, I've got my headphones in, deep in the latest thriller novel — or quietly online shopping (shhhh… don't tell my husband 😉).
Being a mom of four is also why I know — in my body, not just in theory — what it takes to rebuild strength after pregnancy, find time when there isn't any, and train in a way that actually fits a real life. My method is built for women with real lives, not for women whose only job is the gym.
If you're new here, the best place to start is the free 7 Day Core Reset. It'll show you exactly how I teach, what my method feels like, and whether we're a fit before you ever spend a dollar.
